Job Description:

Responsible for ensuring that the facility functions according to policy during shift of responsibility. Provide direct nursing care to the resident and supervise daily nursing activities performed by the Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring that the resident care plan is implemented in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility and as may be required by the Director of Nursing to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Florida.

Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) experience a Must. Risk Management / QI experience a Must.

Specific Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Florida
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.
  • Must have completed a AHCA Level II Background Check.
  • One (1) year experience in a long-term care facility or nursing home preferred.

Physical Requirements for Essential Job Functions

Job Description:

The Unit Secretary is responsible for supporting the functions of the facility by performing primarily clerical duties while serving as a resource for patients, families, physicians, staff and visitors. Responsible for timely and accurate scheduling of appointments, answering phones, making copies, and filing. Maintains active patient medical records including thinning.
